El Nino Projected

Update for April to June: Projections are for a hotter and drier season ahead fro Northern and Eastern Australia. Western Australia is projected to be cooler and wetter
The likelihood of an El Nino occurring in 2014 has increased. The 30 day SOI value to March 23 is -12.6 and has been consistently dropping over the past month. SST observations show a warming of the Pacific Ocean following two strong westerly wind bursts since the start of the year.
Global Climate Model are converging on an El Nino state over the coming months
